5. Products and purchases
- Prices are in AUD, inclusive of GST where it applies, and can change.
- Privacy Phones are opened before they ship. We buy them new from Australian suppliers, then open the box to configure the device. You receive an opened box. The phone is new Australian stock, not refurbished and not a grey import.
- Privacy Laptops are opened before they ship. We buy them new from Australian suppliers, then open the box to configure the device. The phone is new Australian stock, not refurbished and not a grey import.
- Accessories are bought new from Australian or overseas suppliers. What is in the box, and the warranty on that item, is on the product page.

- We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.
6. Delivery
- After payment is authorised and verified, orders are processed within 2-15 business days. Privacy Phones. Privacy Laptops, Off-Grid devices and some accessories are configured before they ship, so those orders sit at the longer end of that timeframe. Some accessories and in-stock items can move faster. We will contact you if there is a delay. Delivery times are estimates; we are not liable for delays.
- We ship anywhere in Australia by Australia Post. A typical delivery is 2-5 business days after dispatch. Times are estimates, counted from the date we ship, not the date you order. We are not liable for a carrier delay, or for delay caused by weather, a public holiday, or an event outside our control.
- International shipping is not available at checkout. Contact us before you order. We quote the item, the insured courier and the terms. Nothing is dispatched until that quote is agreed and payment has cleared.
- Products in one order may arrive in separate parcels. We are not responsible for a wrong address if the address you gave us was incorrect. Once shipped, you receive a tracking link. The full path is in the Shipping Policy.
- If purchased item/s are lost or damaged during the Delivery Services, we ask that you contact us so we can investigate the matter with the Delivery Service Provider directly. We handle these matters on a case-by-case basis while maintaining our ACL obligations.
- We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics).
7. Warranty, returns & cancellations
Warranty
- These terms sit on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing here limits those rights. For a major failure you can reject the goods and choose a refund. For a minor failure we repair or replace.
- Warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover deliberate or accidental damage, scratches and dents, liquid, wear and tear, or repairs you organised yourself.
- Privacy Phones have a two-year manufacturer warranty on new Australian Pixel stock. Installing GrapheneOS does not void that cover. Privacy Laptops have a 12-month return-to-base warranty unless the product page says otherwise, starting from our purchase date. Accessories carry the warranty stated on that product page.
- To claim, use the contact form and choose Warranty, Returns and Cancellations. We verify the order. For a claimed fault we send a prepaid return label or arrange collection. Send it in the original packaging with proof of purchase. We do not transfer money before the item is back with us. We inspect it, then deal with the supplier. A confirmed fault is repaired, replaced or refunded as the consumer guarantees require. If there is no fault, or the damage is not covered, we return the item to you and the return cost is yours.
Returns
- Privacy Phones. Privacy Laptops, Off-Grid devices and some accessories are custom-configured devices, returns align with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) for non-standard goods – remedies focus on faults, not change-of-mind. We disclose this upfront to sustain our model and we are unable to accept return of products for change of mind. That is disclosed before you buy
- For the purposes of this clause, ‘custom-configured devices’ refers to Privacy Phones. Privacy Laptops, Off-Grid devices and some accessories that have undergone specific technical modifications including alternative operating system installation and security configurations. These software modifications do not void the OEM hardware warranty for manufacturing defects.
- For other accessories we accept a change of mind if all of these are met:
- Returned within 14 days of delivery.
- With proof of purchase. A bank statement is not proof of purchase.
- In the original packaging.
Cancellations
- If we have not yet sourced or started configuring the product, typically within 2 business days of the order, a refund of the product and postage can be provided at our discretion. Use the same contact form. Once that work has started, the sale is final.
- Consumers have additional rights under the ACL that cannot be excluded. For more on ACL: https://accc.gov.au/consumers.
