Thank you for visiting and shopping at PrivacyPros.

PrivacyPros (“we”, “us”) collects personal information through https://privacypros.agencystaging.co and when you contact us, buy from us, or book a consultation.

This policy sits under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It does not limit your rights under that Act.

1. What we collect

What we hold depends on what you do.

An order: name, email, phone, delivery address, and the items. Payment card numbers are handled by our payment processor. We receive a token and a confirmation, not the full card.

A consultation or a support enquiry: the details you send us. We ask only for what the job needs.

The website also collects analytics so we can see which pages are used. We use Matomo for that, not Google Analytics. Matomo is built so the site owner holds the data, rather than a third party building an advertising profile from it. We run it without advertising cookies, and without using it to identify you across other sites. You can block it in your browser. It does not change what we need to take an order.

We do not collect sensitive information unless you give it to us for a specific job, such as a consultation, and we need it for that job. We do not ask for it on a normal order.

2. How we collect it

From you, when you type it in, email it, or say it on a call.

From a payment or shipping provider, as a confirmation that the transaction happened.

Sensitive Information is defined in the Privacy Act as including information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Sensitive Information will be used by us only:

  1. for the primary purpose for which it was obtained;
  2. for a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose; and
  3. with your consent or where required or authorised by law.

3. Why we collect it

To take and deliver an order. To configure a phone or laptop you have bought. To answer a support or warranty question. To run a consultation you booked. To meet tax and company-record duties.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers who do a job for us: payment processing, email, shipping, and the host that runs the website. They get only what that job needs.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, including a valid warrant or a tax duty. We disclose the minimum, and we tell you where the law allows it.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Security, access and correction

  1. We store your Personal Information in a way that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
  2. Tax invoices and the records the law requires us to keep are held for up to 7 years, then destroyed or de-identified. A consultation note is kept for as long as the matter needs, then destroyed.
  3. Analytics are aggregated and are not a customer file.
  4. The Australian Privacy Principles:
    1. permit you to obtain access to the Personal Information we hold about you in certain circumstances (Australian Privacy Principle 12); and
    2. allow you to correct inaccurate Personal Information subject to certain exceptions (Australian Privacy Principle 13).
  5. Where you would like to obtain such access, please contact us in writing on the contact details set out at the bottom of this policy.
  6. We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or lawful request from a law enforcement agency or enforcement body (as defined under the Privacy Act, e.g., Australian Federal Police). We will only disclose the minimum information necessary and, where possible, notify you of such requests unless prohibited by law. For tax compliance under Australian Taxation Office requirements, we retain invoicing data (e.g., name, address, payment details) for up to 7 years. This data is securely stored and anonymized or deleted once no longer required.

6. Complaint procedure

If you have a complaint concerning the manner in which we maintain the privacy of your Personal Information, please contact us with the contact details set out at the bottom of this policy. All complaints will be considered by PrivacyPros and we may seek further information from you to clarify your concerns. If we agree that your complaint is well founded, we will, in consultation with you, take appropriate steps to rectify the problem. If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

7. Data breaches

If we experience a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to individuals, we will notify affected parties and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. We maintain incident response procedures to handle such events promptly.

8. Overseas transfer

Your Personal Information will not be disclosed to recipients outside Australia unless you expressly request us to do so. If you request us to transfer your Personal Information to an overseas recipient, the overseas recipient will not be required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and we will not be liable for any mishandling of your information in such circumstances.

For any necessary transfers (e.g., to cloud providers), we use safeguards like standard contractual clauses to ensure equivalent protection.

9. GDPR

In some circumstances, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides additional protection to individuals located in Europe. The fact that you may be located in Europe does not, however, on its own entitle you to protection under the GDPR. Our website does not specifically target customers located in the European Union and we do not monitor the behaviour of individuals in the European Union, and accordingly the GDPR does not apply.

Where we process personal data of individuals located in the European Union, we will comply with applicable GDPR requirements including: (a) establishing a lawful basis for processing (such as consent or legitimate interests); (b) implementing procedures to facilitate data subject rights including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability; (c) conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments for high-risk processing activities; and (d) ensuring appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place for any transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area.

10. Children

The website and the shop are for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from a child. A parent may buy a phone and set up a limited profile for a child. That is the parent’s information and the parent’s device. We do not ask for the child’s name to take the order.

11. How to contact us about privacy

If you have any queries, or if you seek access to your Personal Information, or if you have a complaint about our privacy practices, contact us at https://privacypros.agencystaging.co/contact.

12. Policy Review and Updates

We review this Privacy Policy annually to ensure compliance with current privacy laws and best practices. The date at the top is the version that applies. Material changes are posted on this page.
